The Pleiades Villas are a collection of seven individually-designed 2 and 3 bedroom luxury holiday villas, all with private swimming pools overlooking the Mirabello Gulf in Crete. These lovely holiday villas have been finished to the highest standard. A peaceful location with wonderful views over Mirabello Bay. Within reach are various watersports facilities, restaurants, bars, shops and sophisticated nightlife.
There are two bedroomed villas and three bedroomed villas and all of them have whirlpool baths in at least one of the bathrooms. There is a also a superb support system here, with a reception, daily cleaning and change of linen and towels and a range of other luxury services available.
The Pleiades Villas are perfect for families, or groups of people, looking for a touch of luxury in a lovely corner of Crete.
The island has a wonderful long summer season, lasting from April to October, and even in the cooler evenings of late or early season, these properties are recommended as all the villas have open fires and heating.
Accommodation Details
All the villas have been individually designed, and the interiors styled using contemporary themes. The living rooms are comfortably furnished and have fireplaces for chillier evenings. The kitchens are very well-equipped and have a full range of appliances: microwave, fruit-juicer, filter-coffee maker, dishwasher and refrigerator. The properties also contain washing machines, irons and ironing boards, hairdryers, direct dial internet access – free of charge, bathrobes and slippers.
There are air-conditioning/heating units in the living rooms and the bedrooms. The living rooms also have DVD player, satellite TV, CD player and surround-sound. Above all, the villas are equipped for exceptional comfort.
There are four different sizes of villa available:
Pleione, Alkyone and Merone – Sleeps four. On two levels with Master bedroom (with king-sized double bed) plus en suite bathroom and whirlpool bath. Twin bedroom with en suite bathroom and shower.
Electra and Celaeno – Sleeps four. As above but more spacious and have the following advantages – Master bedroom with king size bed, en suite bathroom with double whirlpool bathub in the shape of a heart with sea views, separate shower and music centre. Twin bedroom with en suite bathroom with whirlpool bathub. Specific barbecue area with furntiure. Central heating for Winter lets. Heated swimming pool with Jacuzzi area and separate parking areas.
Atlas, Maja and Asterope – Sleeps six. On two levels with Master bedroom, en suite bathroom and whirlpool bath. Twin room with en suite bathroom and whirlpool bath, and twin room with shower.
Taygeta – Sleeps six. On two levels with Master bedroom, en suite bathroom and whirlpool bath. Twin bedroom with en suite bathroom and whirlpool bath. Twin room with en suite bathroom with shower.
Local Area
The Pleiades Villas are located in a quiet corner of Crete, with neighbours numbering some of the best and most exclusive hotels on the island. The area has many interesting boutiques, bars and restaurants and a pretty little harbour, all within about a five to ten minute drive from the villas.
The surrounding area is very beautiful and it is worth driving up the coast through the small villages until you get to Plakka. From here there is a boat trip over to the fascinating island of Spinalonga. The views over the bay are spectacular. Local activities in the area are a-plenty and include: Water-skiing and water-skiing lessons, wind-surfing, diving lessons, speed boat rides, horse-riding and tennis. Aghios Nikoloas is the largest resort in the east of the island. It is a great place to visit with a wealth of lovely shops and restaurants, as well as some lively nightlife. An exploration inland is recommended, especially a drive to the Lasithi plateau which is reached by a stunning mountain drive.
