Excellent for children, gardens, play area and sandpit. Set in a 2.5 acre garden on the edge of Pollensa, and with views of the mountains.
Situated in the flat area below El Vila, the property is situated in 2.5 acres tranquil gardens set to orchards, woodland and lawn with many mature pines and palms, views of the mountains and the Pollenca monastery Puig Maria.
There is a superb new heated swimming pool set into a generous terrace, and the accommodation is arranged around a three-sided cloistered courtyard. This is a very attractive property peacefully located only 2 kms from the Port and beaches.
Accommodation Details
Wooden double doors open into a lovely, large main reception room from where sliding doors in turn open onto the rear courtyard. This room has a fireplace, and UK satellite TV. A door open into a newly fitted kitchen leading onto its own covered breakfast terrace and the courtyard. One wing of the house contains the two bedroom suites in the tower. On the ground floor there is a large double bedroom in the roundel, with fireplace, a dressing room and bathroom with bath and shower. This suite has been adapted and created for disabled guests. On the first floor of the tower there is a second bedroom with twin beds and fireplace, separate WC and bathroom (with superb views to the mountains!). The other wing of the house has three bedrooms (two double and one bunk room,) each with their own shower room, which either open directly onto the courtyard or which can be linked through cloisters to each other. A final suite, which is a self contained studio, leads directly onto the swimming pool terrace or its own patio. This contains a double bed, a sofa bed, a kitchen area and bathroom.
In total the property sleeps 12 (not including the sofa bed in the apartment), with 6 bathrooms/shower rooms. A further shower room is located next to the pool for guest changing.
The property benefits from central heating and air-conditioning in all bedrooms. The courtyard bedrooms have mosquito netting to windows and the tower bedrooms have mosquito nets over the beds.
Other than one tower bedroom the property is on one floor with access to all terraces and swimming pool area by wheelchair. For disabled guests there is a ‘wheel-in shower’ and a commode is available.
Outside Facilities
The property is located just off a very quiet private lane. There is ample parking for several cars, and the studio also has parking round the far side of the main house. In the courtyard there is an outside dining / kitchen area (complete with oven) where meals can be prepared and eaten – this also benefits from a built in barbeque.
The pool is one of the largest in the area at 16m x 6m. It also has heating, but this is available only at extra cost during low season. There are Roman steps at one end, as well as a slide. The pool can be secured for children’s safety and is surrounded on all sides by a beautiful natural stone terrace.
In the garden is a children’s play area, including a large sandpit (which can also be used for boules), table tennis and a tennis court.
Mature trees provide plenty of shade.
Local Area
The area is good for watersports. In the port there is a sail and surf school and marina, about 1.5 kms. The whole area is suitable for walking and cycling. There are many restaurants within 2kms, the nearest being about 500m away.
For those wishing to enjoy horse-riding during their holiday on Mallorca, there is the excellent equestrian establishment known as Rancho Son Callar within easy driving distance.
