Finca De Lujo is located on the edge of Gaucin, Southern Spain and is surrounded by breathtaking scenery with views of unspoilt forests, distant mountains and the silhouetted ruins of the ancient floodlit Moorish Castle.
This holiday property is a very private and sophisticated retreat with terraced gardens containing palms, pomegranate, oranges and figs, as well as roses and bougainvillaea cascading down the different levels. The spectacularly sited large swimming pool, with its infinity edge uses non-chlorinated water and has solar heating. From the pool terrace there are far reaching views over Southern Spain.
This splendid property with its Moorish flavour is elegant and stylish. All the rooms are uniquely furnished with the owner’s collection of Art, Antiques and Moroccan artefacts. It is well equipped with all the luxuries and comforts one would expect from a holiday villa of this quality.

Accommodation Details
The property has two main reception rooms, which are furnished with elegant sofas and antiques, and both have open fires. There is a separate quarter with open plan living and nursery facilities.
The huge kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer.
There are a total of seven bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms and a separate self-contained studio cottage for nanny or staff. One of the double bedrooms on the first floor is only available, if required, at a supplement. The house has been designed for maximum comfort, and five of the bedrooms all have their own private terraces.
Accommodation, sleeps up to 12 :
Ground floor: Living room/dining room, kitchen, sitting room. Double bedroom with dressing room, shower room en suite and private terrace. Double bedroom with shower/bath en suite and private terrace.
First floor: Double bedroom with dressing room, en suite bathroom and terrace access. Twin room with sitting area, en suite shower and terrace access
Casa Maroc: Sitting room with kitchenette; twin bedroom with bathroom ensuite and large internal patio access; double bedroom (four poster bed) with shower room ensuite and access to private terrace.
Casita: Separate self contained cottage with twin beds, shower room and kitchenette. This cottage is suitable for either teenagers, a nanny or clients’ own staff.
We would draw to your attention that the house takes no more than 12 guests maximum and for a standard party of 12 guests there are 4 double bedrooms and 2 twin bedrooms plus the twin bedroom in the Casita, if required.
Other facilities include gym equipment and modern appliances such as satellite/digital TV, a DVD & a CD player, a VCR, telephone and fax.
The property has full central heating as well as mobile air-conditioning units.
Outside Facilities
Approached along an unmade lane, Finca De Lujo has the atmosphere of a remote retreat, yet is within easy walking distance of Gaucin.
There is a south-facing loggia with a BBQ which is superb for al fresco dining. A separate covered seating area within the loggia accommodates an external Moroccan fireplace.
The beautifully landscaped pool is spectacular, having an infinity edge and is in the most spectacular setting with fantastic views. The main pool is 100 square metres with a deep end of 2 metres, and overall measurements of 15.5m x 11m. There is also a smaller plunge pool. The pool is chemical free with the added benefit of solar heating which during winter months will raise the overall temperature by a few degrees. There is also a Jacuzzi spa for five people.
For guest’s comfort and convenience there are simple kitchen facilities, a further dressing/shower room and a separate WC. There are wonderful views from here to the south, east and west.
Other facilities include outdoor table tennis, and a boule pitch.
Local Area
Finca Del Lujo makes an ideal base for day trips to the beautiful cities of Ronda, Jerez, Cadiz, Seville and the Atlantic Coast. All of these cities have much historical and architectural interest as well as having fabulous shopping and fine restaurants. Ronda has a famous gorge and also has the oldest Bullring in Spain.
Gaucin, the nearby village, is a spectacular, unspoilt white village with many food shops, a chemist, bank, bars, four restaurants and two tennis courts. Throughout the year Gaucin has many fascinating fiestas, traditional Saint days and the ‘Semana-Santa’ (holy week) processions.
In August Gaucin celebrates it ‘Feria’ with a fairground and dancing. Overlooking the village are the ruins of a Moorish castle that provide incomparable views to the Mediterranean Coast, North Africa and Gibralter.
This area is a paradise for walking, exploring, horse-riding, and bird watching. A few kilometres down the valley is the river Genal, and this is a good spot for fishing, swimming, diving and exploring.
The Mediterranean beaches are about 30 minutes drive away, while the Atlantic coast, with its fine white sand and famous wind surfing, is one and a half hours drive away.
