Casa Delicia is a absolutely charming holiday cottage with lovely private pool in a delightful and exclusive residential corner of Marbella, Southern Spain. Far from the crowd, but within easy reach of everything that Marbella has to offer. Beaches within walking distance, and it is possible to walk all the way along the beach to Puerto Banus.
Overlooked by the impressive Mount Concha, Casa Delicia is a lovely private retreat in Southern Spain, but located close to the cosmopolitan Mediterranean town of Marbella. This idyllic rustic pink washed villa is situated in ‘La Virginia’, a village of creative artists, in whose sun-drenched squares you may find classy but informal restaurants, serving delicious food. This haven of private houses has a very sophisticated although natural feel to it; cobbled alleyways, houses and gardens bursting with colourful Bougainvillea, and scented Jasmine. The house is an intimate and picturesque hideaway.
Accommodation Details
The cottage is hidden behind large wooden gates, and set in a pretty garden. On the ground floor, there is a sitting room with open fire and french windows to the garden and pool. The bedroom is positioned on a large mezzanine above the sitting room, has an en suite bathroom, and the large double bed can be split into two single beds, if required. The kitchen is clean and well equipped for those romantic evening dinners on the terrace. The sitting room has a double sofabed, so the cottage could sleep a maximum of four people, but it is really ideal for a couple.
Casa Delicia has the best of both worlds; you can have a calm and peaceful holiday hidden away from it all, or you can be more upbeat by walking into the vibrant centre of Marbella.
Outside Facilities
There is parking just outside the property. The village of La Virginia is a gated area, so the lane is safe and quiet. The cottage has a pretty garden with lawn and mature shrubs. There is a lovely swimming pool set into a terrace.
Local Area
Marbella is situated on the cosmopolitan south coast of Spain, between Malaga and Gibraltar. It is just a twenty minute drive from Malaga International airport. The town has a huge amount to offer everyone. There are all kinds of watersports available at the beaches on the coast and many wonderful opportunities for the serious shopper, including the wonderful Corte Ingles department store. Of course, there is access to golf , cycling and riding, and much more. Casa Delicia is within twenty to thirty minutes walk of the beach and it is possible to walk all the way along the beach to Puerto Banus, stopping at good chiringuitos, (beach bars) and also the renowned Marbella Club.
La Virginia is an extremely attractive collection of individually designed town houses and cottages arranged around cobbled lanes and squares with ornamental pools and fountains. The village has its own lovely chapel, and this is the perfect destination for a special wedding where the reception could be held at one of the two very good restaurants and the honeymoon taken at Casa Delicia ! All the properties at La Virginia are privately owned, and most of the residents are here all year round, so this is a rare and unique opportunity to share a part of a very special corner of Marbella.
